The International electrical Commission (IEC) defines the IP Code or Ingress Protection Code as standard IEC 60529. It classifies the degree of protection for electrical equipment provided by an enclosure against dust and other foreign bodies, accidental contact, and water.

It has the characteristics of high brightness, sun protection, waterproof and dust proof, and durability, to ensure high readability in bright sunlight and provide high-definition, vivid advertising content in harsh weather conditions

6: The first digit indicates the level of protection that the enclosure provides against the ingress of solid foreign objects, from tools or fingers that could be hazardous if they came into contact with electrical conductors to airborne dirt and dust that could damage circuitry. 6: The second digit protected against strong jets of water, e.g. on ships deck, limited ingress permitted.
